The regular meeting of the Chelsea Fire District was opened at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 in the District Office.  Present were Comms. Flower, Sunseri, VanTassel, Splain Secty Y. Tompkins, Treas. L. Sheppard, Chief McCluskey and Company President Kearns.

Absent: Comm. Brickner

The minutes of the December meeting were accepted as read on a motion by Comm. VanTassel, second by Comm. Sunseri.

The Treasurer’s Report was accepted on a motion by Comm. Splain, second by Comm. VanTassel with the Year End Balance of $72,368.41 (subject to review) and showed the following balances:
Checking –(MNB) $5,105.91
Aux. Checking Acct. - $1,125.91
Gen. Fund - $66,136.59
Bldg. Fund - $347,284.83
Equip. Fund - $282,219.59
The bills were approved via Abstract of Audited Vouchers$118,051.03 (list attached dated 12/7/17-12/30/17) and $4,008.86 (1/6/18 through 1/25/18. Carried.  Bank statements received were reviewed and found OK.

Procurement Policy tabled to February meeting.

Credit Card Policy also tabled until February meeting, approval was given for Chief McCluskey to have a credit card to spend up to $200 with receipts and any emergency over $200 need 3 commissioners to approve.

COMMUNICATIONS:

NYC – Notice of completion of Final Environment Impact statement (Dec 15, 2017)

Fire District Affairs – List of Commissioner training dates: Cronomer Valley, 296 No. Plank Rd., Newburgh on March 6, 2018 at 8 a.m.

NEW:

Motion to purchase new clock for district Office was made by Comm. VanTassel, second by Comm. Splain. Carried.

Chief’s Report: #3 Request District pay for EMT book for Andrew Schulman for him to use at class. Motion made by Comm. VanTassel, second by Comm. Sunseri. Carried.

Need 6 AED’s to be updated.

Need to refill ABC extinguisher.
