Searching for the Next Generation of Firefighter

On Thursday, May 25, 2017, members of the Chelsea Fire Company attended the annual Beacon High School Career Day Event and spoke with students from grades 9 – 12 about what it means to be a fire service professional. In conjunction with the City of Beacon Fire Department, Chelsea firefighters spoke with students about career opportunities in the fire service, opportunities for scholarships and grants, assisted students with trying on personal protective equipment, answered fire safety questions, and provided fire safety literature to students and staff.
This event provided students and members of the local fire service a chance to network and learn a bit about each other, therefore helping students be better informed about career choices and the fire service better serve the community. The Chelsea Fire Company would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Beacon School District, the Beacon High School Administration, and Beacon High School Guidance Department for the opportunity to attend this successful event and work with the students and staff.

We look forward to working with all of you again in the future!
